SBI Clerk Recruitment – 17000 Vacancies 2016
SBI Clerk 2016 Notification has been released but for post that they call as Junior Associate & Junior Agricultural Associate. Having over 10000 branches & 5000 branches of its associate bank spread across India, SBI is the oldest & largest public sector bank.It also has strong foreign presence with nearly 82 offices in 32 countries.
The news about SBI Clerk Recruitment 2016 was being expected for long & the announcment has come at a time when candidates were down after IBPS results & LIC AAO results die
And now it is the turn of SBI to pep up things with recruitment of 17000 clerical cadre jobs.It is sure a jackpot for aspirants looking to enter govt banks.

This SBI recruitment 2016 doesnt look like for normal clerk jobs because the position name is quite different.

The following are backlog vacancies for OBC, SC, ST , PWD & Ex-SM.General category candidates are not eligible for the below posts
- Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales): 3218 positions
The following vacancies are part of a special recruitment for the regions: Tura (Meghalaya) and Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh regions.
- Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales): 188 posts
So the total vacancies in SBI Clerk 2016 recruitment is 13734 posts without considering the backlog vacancies & kashmir special recruitment.
SBI Junior Associates Salary
The total starting emoluments at a metro city like Mumbai will be around Rs.20,950 per month which could vary slightly based on place of posting.
The payscale for this clerical cadre employee shall include all benefits such as PF, Gratuity, Pension etc.,

Who are Eligible
The conditions to apply for this SBI clerk recruitment 2016 are,
- Age to be: 20 - 28 years, as on June 30, 2016 [+3 yrs for OBC, +5 yrs for SC/ST]
- Local language proficiency (able to read, write & speak) of the state you are applying is required
- Must be able to write & speak English
Junior Associate: Pass in any degree, as on June 30, 2016
Junior Agricultural Associate: Degree in Agriculture or Agriculture allied activities as on 30.06.2016
Final year students are also eligible to apply for this SBI clerk (junior associates) 2016 recruitment but should be able to produce proof of passing the degree exam on or before June 30, 2016 if called for interview.
Local language test: Candidates who produce 10th standard mark sheet/certificate to show that they had studied the official language need not appear for language test.
For all others, language test will be conducted at the time of interview or before final selection (if interview is not held)
Procedure of Selection
State Bank of India will conduct the selection process for Junior Associate & Junior Agriculture Associate in the following phases:
Phase I: Preliminary Examination for 100 marks shall be conducted in the month of May. It would contain 3 sections.
Candidates have to pass in each objective test that also carries 0.25 negative mark.
Phase II: Main Exams would be conducted for candidates who qualify in prelims.It will be for 200 marks.
Phase III: Interview (subject to Govt of India approval)
Those who get clear the main exams will be called for personal interview.Since govt of India had advised banks not to conduct interviews for clerical cadre jobs, it is not known whether SBI will continue with interview or not.

The registration/application fee is Rs.600 (Gen/OBC) & Rs.100 (others) which must be paid only through online mode only.

- Complete payment by debit card, credit card or net banking
After submitting the online application form take a print of the generalated application form & e-receipt for future reference.
